Beyond the Sip: A Deeper Journey into Nervous System Herbs

This follow-up workshop is designed for those who attended our first nervous system tea-making session and want to deepen their understanding of the herbs we explored. Through guided discussion, we’ll reflect on our personal experiences with our tea blends—how they’ve supported our nervous systems, the subtle (or profound) shifts we’ve noticed, and what we’ve learned from consistent use. We’ll also take a closer look at the actions, energetics, and traditional uses of these herbs, strengthening our knowledge and confidence in working with them.

In person at Planterday: 6004 College Ave, Oakland, CA

Sliding Scale $25-35

Jewish Ancestral Herbalism

Join Sephardic-Ashkenazi herbalist Danièle Fogel and Ashkenazi herbalist Lia Leibman for a transformative 3-part Jewish ancestral workshop exploring the sacred traditions of Jewish folk healing, herbalism, and protection magic. In this 3-part series, we will immerse ourselves in the ancestral wisdom of Jewish folk medicine, Jewish healing worldviews, the evil eye, spirits, and common herbs, practices, and rituals that many Jews have relied upon for millenia. From garlic to Saint John’s Wort to rose, we will discuss how and why certain herbs were grown and used, weaving in both botanical folklore and medicinal uses.

In person, in partnership with the East Bay Permaculture Guild
