Introduction to Sephardic herbalism:

We’ll explore protection magic and herbal traditions in Sephardic, Mizrahi, and Arab Jewish lineages. From the evil eye to segulot, we’ll dive into the traditions of our ancestors and reclaim our sometimes lost cultures. We’ll learn about five key herbs used in our traditions, and make herbal amulets with these ancestral herbs to carry our lineages’ herbal wisdom with us.

Rose water making workshop:

Rose plays a major role in Sephardi, Mizrahi, and Arab Jewish traditions; rose water in particular is used in much of our food and culture. Together we’ll learn how to make rose water as a cultural symbol as well as a medicine to uplift our hearts.
